Foods to warm you up by Mrs. Jovina!


Even in the South we get COLD weather!  I’m so not crazy about it, I’m dreaming of beaches, boat rides and flip flops….but in the meantime I’m thinking of foods to keep me warm too.  This week I cooked a hearty veggie soup made with venison, a lean meat, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, red potatoes, green beans, tomatoes, low sodium beef broth, tomato juice, a little Italian seasoning.  It sure is good comfort food when it’s 9 degrees Fahrenheit outside!

  1. Thank you so much for sharing my post. Like you, I am not happy about the weather.
    One good thing is that in the south, the cold days are here for a short time and by Thursday, it will be mild again.
